Felice Stevens - Hot Date http://amzn.to/2srW6FA

What I love most about the holidays is family coming together. Thanksgiving is y favorite holiday because it's not about gift-giving but rather spending the day with loved ones and sharing good food and drink. We always watch the Macy's Thanksgiving's Day parade then the dog show. Afterwards we eat!!
Chanukah isn't an important holiday but because it's near Christmas, we give children small gifts for the eight nights. In addition, I make potato pancakes which I love, and eat jelly doughnuts. Do you sense a common theme? Food!!
Happy Holidays!

Kelly Jensen - Uncommon Ground http://amzn.to/2sVqwld

What I love most about the holidays is giving gifts. While I enjoy the shopping part--hunting for just the thing and wrapping it nicely--the opening part is the best. Especially when I feel I've chosen something special. Yes, it's nice to know your gift (and thoughts) are appreciated, but for me, it's more about that second of joy. The quick expression of delight and the acknowledgment that your friend or loved one know you were thinking about them, and just them, for a little while.

Nic Starr - Finding His Place http://amzn.to/2tuudLJ

Christmas means summer! It's the beginning of six or more weeks off school for the kids, with long holidays and days spent at the beach or by the pool. So Christmas is the start of fabulous family time!

Christmas Day is all about the extended family spending time together. Sitting around the tree to exchange presents, then gathering in the kitchen to prepare lunch - ham, turkey, and all the trimmings. We all lend a hand as we listen to Mum's favourite carols and sip champagne. We have huge bowls of cherries and a pavlova to finish the meal instead of pudding. After lunch, the younger members of the family usually go swimming while the rest of us sit with a glass of wine and wait for the food coma to pass! The day always runs into the evening, with more swimming, games of backyard cricket, and eating leftovers. In fact, we seem to be eating ham and turkey for days!

Christmas is also a time of reflection. We lost my Dad on Christmas Day, but I like to think he chose that day because he knew we'd all be together, celebrating the day, and so wouldn't be alone on the anniversary of his death. So we raise our glasses and share special memories of the wonderful man he was, while feeling blessed to have each other.

However you spend the holiday season, may it be filled with love and happiness.

S.C. Wynne - Memories Follow http://amzn.to/2sCs3tg

I love the holidays because of the time spent with family. That sounds like a cliché, but what I love is most of my family is in a good mood during the holidays. Maybe because they get a little time off. It's a lot more fun spending time with family when they're in a good mood because they've had a few days off in a row! Also, I just love that the weather turns colder this time of year, and there is the scent of woodsmoke in the air. I'm not a warm weather person. I think my DNA has icicles in it because I love cold weather. Of course, I live in S. California, so cold weather is relative. But cold weather or not, I look forward next month to buying my tree and spending time with loved ones.

A Change of Scenery

A Change of Scenery
Hunger Roads Trilogy Book 1
by Debra Parmley
Genre: Futuristic Dystopian Romance

The Hunger Roads Trilogy: In a futuristic world of GMO’s, and overbearing government, a hot Special Opps soldier rescues an innocent belly dancer and gives her a wild adventure along the way, but there are larger issues to face in a world that has become dangerous and deadly.

A Change of Scenery:
Belly dancer Clarrisa Heat is headed from Memphis to the Caribbean for a vacation after a horrible divorce. A change of scenery is just what she needs to forget her troubles. At the Atlanta shuttle station she’s handed a letter, which states she cannot board the Zuilund Super Shuttle until she receives a Sendot injection, a new drug that claims to prevent a new deadly gastrointestinal illness. She stops in a shuttle lounge on her way to check in and gets locked inside the wrecked deserted room with no one to hear her calling and no cell phone service.

Navy SEAL Warren West finds Clarissa locked in the lounge. Soon they’re on the run because she missed her injection and shuttle, which lands her on the militia’s watch list. The heirloom herbs she grows in her bedroom will mark her a terrorist on Benjamin Innovative Genetics Corporation’s most wanted list if they’re discovered.

All Clarissa wanted was A Change of Scenery to live her new mantra… No men, just sand and beach. Is a change of scenery what she needs or is it Warren? And will he cause her to change her mantra?

Debra Parmley spreads love, one story at a time. A multi-genre, hybrid author, fascinated by fairy tales and folktales ever since she was young, she has always ended her stories with a happy ever after. Every story she writes turns into a romance.

She started out writing gritty western historical romance, always with a damsel in distress, back before self publishing was an option. Her first book, A Desperate Journey, was published in ebook in 2008 and in print in 2009.

An Air Force veteran's wife, she now writes military heroes. Montana Marine, part of Elle James Kindle Worlds Brotherhood Protectors series, is her most recent contemporary military romantic suspense.

Debra enjoys travel and her work as a travel consultant gave her the opportunity to visit many countries. Her luggage often carried home folk tales from the countries visited and you will find her travel experiences scattered throughout her books.

Montana Marine

Montana Marine
Brotherhood Protectors Kindle World
by Debra Parmley
Genre: Military Romantic Suspense

Marine Recon Gunnery Sergeant Jack “Gunny” Barr has retired and returned to Texas when he’s hired by The Brotherhood Protectors bodyguard service in Montana. His job is to protect the volatile actress Angelica Glory. She’s a bombshell and an obsessive stalker has fixated on her as a target. Lucy Wood, her shy assistant, has her hands full watching out for her. When the women are sent to Montana to lay low until the stalker is caught, Angelia has nothing to do but lay by the pool drinking rum and cola while trying to seduce the hunky bodyguard set to protect them or die trying. Jack and Lucy are drawn to each other, but working for Angelica leaves little time to see where their desires might lead. A dangerous stalker with a love obsession is determined to have the woman of his dreams.

Fun facts about the author:

When Debra was young she could write with her left and her right hands. When she was in college she often typed with her left while writing on a legal pad with her right. Her friends asked how do you do that? She has no idea. These days she types on a laptop, fast with both hands.

Debra once walked the plank on a pirate ship, off the Coast of Grand Cayman Island. She walked right off the plank without a moment’s hesitation.

One of the main characters in Remember Love, my contribution to the Memories with the Breakfast Club world, is Antonio who appears in Felice’s Second to None. He’s my favorite secondary character in the Breakfast Club series, so when I started planning a story set in that world, I really wanted to give him an HEA. Antonio is a bartender at Sparks, and while he wants to hook up with Marcus, once he realizes Marcus and Tyler are meant for each other, he’s very supportive of their relationship. I wanted to explore his friendship with the two of them while also teasing out Antonio’s story. I asked a lot of questions like: Had Antonio had a relationship in the past? Is he truly satisfied hooking up with no strings attached? What does he dream of for the future? I loved getting to “talk” to him and learn his secrets, and I thoroughly enjoyed getting Marcus and Tyler to help him find his way. While I was writing, I spent a lot of time picturing the atmosphere at Sparks: Antonio serving drinks, the dancers, the flirtatious customers. Listening to some dance playlists helped set the right atmosphere for me, and my ever-present cup of coffee kept me going.

When I wrote Memories Follow I remember it as a wonderful experience. I usually work in my bedroom, but this time I cleared off my desk in the kitchen and I wrote there instead. I looked out my window all day and watched squirrels playing and quail in little groups. It sounds like a Disney cartoon, but it was one of the most wonderful experiences.  I had no idea I even had that much wildlife in my backyard!
The book flowed so easily and I loved sharing my new characters, Scottie and Lance, while mingling them with Felice Stevens amazing characters, Rafe and Alex.
If you ever have the chance to write for Felice’s Kindle World, you should do it. I loved it and would do it again in a heart beat.

Finding His Place
(Memories with the Breakfast Club Kindle World)
By
Nic Starr

How music features in my writing process
Writing a story for the Memories with The Breakfast Club Kindle World followed my usual process, with one key exception – I was writing in author Felice Steven’s world so I needed a good understanding of her setting. I also featured a few of Felice’s main characters so I needed knowledge of those characters and their back story. This necessitated a re-read of the series because it had been some time since I’d first read the books. As I read the books, I made notes and scribbled ideas that culminated in an idea for my own story and my own characters.
Part of my usual writing process is developing a theme for my story and getting to know my characters. What drives them? What are their passions? How have the events in their lives shaped the people they are now? What are they looking for in their lives and in love? And often I’ll choose a song or two that reflect my character, their situation, or the feel of the book I’m writing.
Finding His Place is Kieran’s story. Kieran is struggling to find his direction after a life spent trying to please his father and be the man he thinks his father wants him to be. Part of his journey involves recognising that he can follow his own path and be happy. There were two songs that represented Finding His Place to me.
Keep Your Head Up by Ben Howard
This song feels like a message to Kieran. Life is about learning from the past, letting go and making changes. Look inside yourself to find what makes you happy – it will get better.
Insert You Tube Clip here (https://youtu.be/ADP65wbBUpc)
It’s Time by Imagine Dragons
This song celebrates Kieran’s new beginning.

I hope you enjoy Kieran and Darius’s story. If you want to see the inspiration boards for all my books, you can find them all on Pinterest.

Sometimes finding your place in the world can lead to love.
Kieran Walters is the illegitimate son of a successful businessman. Despite striving to win his father’s affection, a confrontation that has been years in the making leaves Kieran devastated to realize he will never be good enough. Jealous of the half brother he’s never met, and who most likely doesn’t know of his existence, Kieran vows to find out what makes his brother so special in their father’s eyes.
Darius Jensen manages a nightclub. He loves his job, but is reluctant to commit when given the opportunity to become a partner. His previous foray into business ownership with a boyfriend had disastrous results, and Darius is still paying the price, both financially and emotionally.
When Kieran starts working with Darius at Sparks, Darius shows him it’s not too late for Kieran to realize his dreams—the fulfilling career, a loving family, and someone who loves him for who he is. If only Kieran can convince Darius of the same thing. But before Kieran’s and Darius’s dreams can come true, Kieran needs to come clean with his brother and deal with the resulting fallout… which threatens his relationship with Darius.

Music plays a large part in my writing. I always have an internal soundtrack going in my head and that was certainly the case for A Way with Words. Tony hums to a Bon Jovi classic playing at his job site and music greets him when he pushes the door open to the bar where Remy works. And of course, Tony meets Remy when he plays guitar in the park. The background is buzzing with everything from flamenco to classic rock and roll. Here’s a short playlist to give you an idea. Enjoy!

Happy Reading & Listening,

Lane Hayes xo

Bon Jovi “Living On a Prayer”

Bruce Springsteen “Born in the USA”

The Rolling Stones “Beast of Burden”

Paco de Lucia

Lane Hayes is grateful to finally be doing what she loves best. Writing full-time! It’s no secret Lane loves a good romance novel. An avid reader from an early age, she has always been drawn to well-told love story with beautifully written characters. These days she prefers the leading roles to both be men. Lane discovered the M/M genre a few years ago and was instantly hooked. Her debut novel was a 2013 Rainbow Award finalist and subsequent books have received Honorable Mentions, and were winners in the 2016 Rainbow Awards. She loves red wine, chocolate and travel (in no particular order). Lane lives in Southern California with her amazing husband in an almost empty nest.

Uncommon Ground is unlike anything I’ve written before. I’ve written science fiction, aliens, and contemporary romance separately. This was my first attempt to put all those elements in the same story. Why? Because I love both genres, read both genres, and wanted this story to reflect that. I wanted people who don’t normally read science fiction to give it a try, and I wanted my science fiction readers to fall in love with Dillon and Lang.

The setting for Uncommon Ground was a bonus. I was excited to write in Felice Stevens’ New York. I love her characters and stories. My plot is fairly peripheral to hers, with her characters only appearing here and there. The reason for that is, well, my guys are aliens. (Some of them. Okay, most of them.) I didn’t want to infect her world too much. But now that I’ve done it once, I can’t wait to do it again, and I will be using one of her characters in a pivotal role in a follow up story. I haven’t picked my victim yet…

Writing this story was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to continue Dillon and Lang’s adventure, and expand the world I’ve started building inside Felice Stevens’ world.

Bio and links:
If aliens ever do land on Earth, Kelly will not be prepared, despite having read over a hundred stories of the apocalypse. Still, she will pack her precious books into a box and carry them with her as she strives to survive. It’s what bibliophiles do.

Kelly is the author of a number of novels, novellas and short stories, including the Chaos Station series, co-written with Jenn Burke. A lot of what she writes is speculative in nature, but sometimes it’s just about a guy losing his socks and/or burning dinner. Because life isn’t all conquering aliens and mountain peaks. Sometimes finding a happy ever after is all the adventure we need.
