This story was inspired by an abandoned farmhouse in northern Utah in April of 2012. Peeking into the busted out windows, she envisioned a sad young woman walking the faded, warped hardwood floors. She took pictures inside and out, went back to her hotel and wrote the first chapter of Reclaiming Katie.
