Author Interview

So, here's something a little different. As an author, I've decided to do a blog tag. I just basically will answer some questions about my books.

Mohawk Moon
Janelle hasn't been home in ten years. All of a sudden, she has to deal with her mothers death, her broken relationship with her sister, and some sexy stranger following her. She doesn't know whether to be scared, or excited.

Damien needs to restore his families honor. He needs to use Janelle to do it, there's one problem. There's someone standing in the way. He's vowed that no one will stand in the way or getting what's his. 

Together they must save what's left of both their families, and along the way, deal with what's going on between them. Join them on the beginning of their journey, under the Mohawk Moon.

What is the working title of your book?

My first book was Mohawk Moon. 

Where did the idea come from for the book?

I have always loved to write. But, as I grew older, and had more responsibilities, I haven't had the time. One day, I read South of Bixby Bridge, by Ryan Winfield. When I was done, all I could think about was writing my own book. So I did. I sat down and ideas just kept pouring out of me, faster than I could write. I really don't know how this worked out, or where the idea of my story actually came from, I only remember why I wanted to write. 

What genre does your book fall under?

Romantic Suspense

What is the one sentence synopsis for the book?

Janelle and Damien are both driven by a love of family and honor, which may lead them both to their death. 

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

2 months!! Yes, I couldn't stop writing. I had no writers block. Anywhere I could write, I did. My phone, my computer, everywhere!

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

OOhh!!! Janelle, I would have to say I keep picturing her as Ashley Greene. For Damien, absolutely hands down Taylor Lautner. Dimitri, I think Alex Meraz and Samantha, maybe Selena Gomez. 

What other books would you compare this story to, in your genre?

Wow. I read a lot of books in this genre, but I feel mine, has a different enough story, that it's not your typical Romantic Suspense. I can't exactly compare it with any one other book. I've never read something like Mohawk Moon. 

What else about the book might pique the readers’ interest?

There's adventure, betrayal, love, honor and passion!!!!! Who doesn't love guns and kisses!
