My Review:
Have you ever watched a chick flick and wished you could read the book? Had just such an amazing love story, you want to relive it over and over? This is the opposite. I read this book and AM DYING to see it as a movie. I will most definitely be re-reading this book over and over. I think it could be one of the greatest Romance Movies ever! This author has a way of writing that makes you feel everything each character is going through.
I'll admit it. I cried, a lot. I laughed, smiled, grinned, and cried some more. It's been a long time since a book has caused such turmoil in my emotions. Along the lines of "The Notebook", "Dear John" and other such great love stories, Shane and Jenn will outlast them all.
Shane, always trying to be the protector, thinks Jenn is going to kill herself. Jenn, battling a heavy array of letdowns in life, love and work, just wants to be alone. He basically forces himself upon her, and from there, you're taken on a rollercoaster of astounding quality. The ups and downs, and in between, this book lacks for nothing. Every page is filled with feelings, and love that just grabs you by your shirt collar and holds you in. I couldn't put this down. I stayed up all night, and even snuck some reading in at work, trying to finish. I have to say, Suicide Note is now in my top 5 books of all time!

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
I’ve always loved to write but I completed my first novel a little over a year ago.
How long did it take you to write your book?
It took me about two months to complete Suicide Note.
What genre is your book? What made you choose to write in that category?
It is contemporary romance.
What was your work schedule like when you were writing?
Crazy! I write from the time I get up until it is time to get my children from school. I
am always online doing something until I fall asleep.
What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I don’t outline. I have a general idea and just write as the story comes to me. I always
have a playlist for every book I am writing to help get me in the same mood as the
characters.
Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Most of my books begin as dreams I’ve had and I go from there.
How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I have seven books written now. I’d say Suicide Note is now my favorite.
Are you currently working on another book? If so, is it part of a series or something different?
I am currently working on White Trash Damaged. It is book two in the White Trash
Trilogy.
What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Escape. We love to take off on the weekends and leave work behind whenever
possible.
What does your family think of your writing?
They are supportive. They don’t like how much I have to be online but they
understand how important it is to me.
Do you have any suggestions to help others become a better writer? If so, what are they?
Always make time to write. It is easy to put things off and say you will get to it
another day. It is really important to always be working. It is also very important to
take constructive criticism and use it to learn and better yourself. I have learned a
great deal from negative reviews and I think it has really helped me grow as a writer.
Don’t get discouraged. You can’t please everyone.
Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
I talk to my readers daily. I am always on facebook and twitter. I try to respond to
every message or comment. We chat about books and what characters we like.
What do you think makes a good story?
I personally love a good twist. I also think the characters need to be relatable. The
reader has to be able to put themselves in their shoes.
As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
Everything! When I was little I wanted to be a veterinarian. I used to bring home
stray animals constantly.
Are you self published or do you have a publisher? If self published, what made you decide to go that
route?
I do self-publish most of my novels. I love the freedom to choose my release dates
and cover art. I was picked up by Gallery (Simon & Schuster) for my White Trash
Trilogy. I wouldn’t change that for the world. I was lucky to get an amazing editor
who helps me work through the story and make it the best it can possibly be.
