Synopsis:
Believers of fate, destiny, whatever, say that there are many paths to your one final destination. No matter what choices you make you will always end up right where you are supposed to be. Well I guess I took the road less traveled because God knows I’m broken, bruised, and damaged.
This is my story. It’s about all the wrong turns that led to the right destination. We were written in the stars from the very beginning and neither of us knew it. Love is something you can’t fight and can’t hide from no matter how bad you want to. This is my cosmic turn of love.

Author Bio:

One day while slaving away at her monotonous day job, Jennifer Martinez found her true calling. Like a firefly in the night, the pages called to her. Once she caught the bug there was no stopping it. Her fingers flew furiously across the keyboard winding tales of love, mystery and anger. She snapped out of her reverie to find herself still behind the desk but at least she knew who she was… Author Jennifer Martinez.
I like to think of myself as a beautiful conundrum. When I am not writing, I can be found surrounded by my amazing family and 4 dogs or volunteering at a local animal rescue. I love who I am and don’t mind at all when I get strange looks from people. I am a tattoo covered, child and animal lover who looks forward to destroying peoples preconceived
notions of what “someone like me” would be interested in. You only live life once… you may as well make it interesting. I love to get lost in a good book and hope that everyone will get lost in mine.

Teaser:

I moved my curly brown hair over my shoulder as he began slowly unzipping my dress,

savoring every inch of the skin he had never seen. As my dress fell to my feet I was
completely open for him to see. I turned back around and we began kissing again as I
fumbled with the buttons on his white dress shirt. Once I had the final button undone I
traced my fingers up his washboard abs over his chest and onto his shoulders where I
finally lifted the shirt of his solid frame. When his shirt finally shared a space next to my
dress, he lifted me up and onto the bed. With both of us now on the bed, things continued
to get hotter. His kisses no longer stopped at my collarbone and every time my breath
would catch he would wait a second then continue. I took the time he was leaning over
my exposed body to take him in in all his splendor. I traced every inch of his skin with
my fingertips making sure I memorized every muscle and every dip. I finally snuck my
finger inside the waistband of his jeans and we took the next step.

Now honestly I can't tell you exactly what happened. I know that once I undid the button

on his pants he stood up and let his jeans fall to the ground as he grabbed a condom from
his bedside table and put it on. I can also tell you that he looked absolutely perfect with
his red swollen lips, flushed face and perfect chest rising and falling with the excitement
that hung in the air like a fog. When he climbed back on the bed he slowly removed my
panties and then we were dancing. It was like the perfect waltz, slow and a little awkward
at first while I learned the moves but once I was confident in my dance we were like
Cinderella and Prince Charming at the ball. Dancing on clouds, perfectly content and
in love. I didn't say it that night and looking back, if I had things may have gone very
differently. Fate’s kind of a bitch like that.

Now the fun part, get to know the real Jennifer..

Please tell us about your latest release Written in the Stars and how you came up with the idea..
Written in the Stars is a story about a girl named Mack who has the worst luck with men. Finally one day she gives up and resigns herself to being alone forever and living for her when her prince charming finally shows up.

Don't we all wish our Prince Charming would just.. show up?

How long did it take you to write your book?
About a month and a half.

You sound like me :)

What was your work schedule like when you were writing?
Unfortunately I have issues writing during the day so I usually work on my blog in the morning, my garden in the afternoon, spend the evening with my hubs then write until between 12 am and 2 am.

Oh yes, we have so much in common Jennifer! Night owls

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I have to have a clean house and empty desk... I am super ADD and love to procrastinate so if my house isn’t spotless nothing will get accomplished.

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
They just kinda hit me.. sometimes softly other times like a Mack Truck.. This book was closer to a Mack Truck. The info I get from everywhere. I’m watching the Netflix series Hemlock Grove right now and that girl says it best. “I’m a novelist I’m always observing everything.”

I've never heard of it. I will have to check it out.

What’s your fave Character you’ve written so far from any book..and why?
Thats like asking about your favorite child! Um... Kenna will always be my first love but I am really excited for everyone to meet Maia. Shes the lead character in my new book Blossom. She has to deal with a lot.

No parent will ADMIT it, but there's always a fave!

Do you have an actress in mind that would play that person, were your book to be a movie?
I think Dakota Fanning would be perfect.

I like her! She's sweet.

Do you outline your books or just go with
the flow?
I’m a flow girl :) I mean I have a general outline in my head but that is always subject to change.

I think every woman's mind is subject to change! Or, at least that's what my hubby keeps telling me.

Of the books you’ve written which is your favorite?
Don’t Kill Dinner. Its my first book and I loved the premise of it. I hate weak girls that cant do anything for themselves and Kenna perfectly embodies that “I can take care of myself” attitude.

Are you currently working on another book?
I’m currently working on a lot actually.. I have 1 super secret project I haven’t released anything on, Blossom, Don’t Feed (Book 2 in the Rules Trilogy) and The Adventures of Sammy the Shark which is a children's book I am collaborating with my husband on :)

I love secrets!! Will you give us a hint?

Merry Christmas

When you are ready, maybe I'll be lucky enough to be involved in the telling of said secret! I can't wait!

What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Usually play with our 4 dogs or garden. Gardening is a recent passion but now that I have successfully grown a plant I’m pretty addicted.

I may be a farm girl, but I'm horrible in a garden! Good luck with that one Jennifer!

What does your family think of your writing?
My family loves it. My mom always wanted to be a writer so she jokes that she is now living vicariously through me and my husband loves telling people that he is married to a novelist.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned about yourself in creating your books?
I am twisted. When coming up with some of the murder scenes in Don’t Kill Dinner I realized I have a very twisted mind. and death is a lot easier to write about than sex. lol.

Deep down, everyone has a little twist to them somewhere!

A fact that someone might not know about you?
I once traveled to Russia to perform with Cirque. I was an aerial acrobat for 4 years :)

Is this for real? Or is this the famous Jennifer humor?
serious as a heart attack.

WOW! Love it.

Who’s your fave blogger? *wink*
There’s this chick Nicole.. shes pretty decent. ;) I love all bloggers! I can’t pick one..

LOL, I'll take it! Thanks for being here Jennifer. I love it when you grace my page with your presence! Can't wait to have you back here again soon!
