Contemporary

Ok fans, so today is something a little different! I went with Contemporary Fiction, which means, it's a little of everything. I'd really like to hear what genre of books you really want to read. So check these out, but, leave me a comment. Let me know what you want to read! I don't want to keep doing lists if you don't want any of the books :) I'd rather find something you want to read! Speak up.

But, for now, enjoy some of these Contemporaries.

Louisiana Ghost Story
Can this marriage survive two husbands, one alive, one not?

Award-winning chef Phil Randazzo, and his anthropologist wife, Michelle, are as happy as any newlyweds with five kids and a ton of history. But something’s eerily amiss.

They’ve been married less than a year and already there’s someone else--at least it’s starting to seem that way.

First Hendrix the cat’s developed a new trick, but how does a flesh-and-blood feline walk through walls? Maybe with help from his best friend on The Other Side? Then there was that dude Phil saw upstairs Thanksgiving Day. Only nobody was there. But the odd thing was that “nobody” looked exactly like Michelle’s dead husband, Cajun musician A.P. Savoie. Her really really handsome and much-missed dead husband. Who died all too suddenly.

Can it be he wants her back?

Anything You Ask

Thrown off the farm by his father, Hale vows to reclaim the land where he was raised. Helping Danielle provides a perfect way to redeem himself, but his feelings complicate matters. He wants to make their marriage a real one. Problem is, Danielle won't tolerate any more secrets, and he can't tell her why his family disowned him.

Now more is on the line than just the farm. Staying together will require a special kind of courage. Are they strong enough to let go of their painful past and embrace the future?

In the Air (The City #1)
It all began on a New York City sidewalk. It was so surreal. Juilliard, the enormous brick building that held my dreams and the possibilities of my future. I was prepared for the challenges ahead. What I didn’t expect was to lose my focus the second I met him. Living the dance was no longer the only important thing in my life.

The City opened my eyes, but he transformed me.

Two dancers. One big city. He was determined to make a new start. She was ready to make it in the ballet world. Neither expected love to play a part in achieving their dreams. They also didn't expect it to be so destructive. Samson and Natalia took the leap anyway, not worrying about the fall.

Blackbird (a Sometimes Never novella)

"Sometimes never is a distorted perception. I love you, Hope. And I'm not the only one. I know you care about me. I see it in your eyes. I feel it. Everybody needs love. Everybody. And some people need it more than others. You're a liar if you say you don't. I'll do that for you. I'll love you. All you have to do is let me." –Sometimes Never

What happened in the years between the final chapter and epilogue of Sometimes Never? Blackbird is an 18,000+ word novella that continues Mason and Hope's story as they finish high school, start separate colleges, and confront their demons.

Though Blackbird can be read on its own, it is better enjoyed after reading Sometimes Never

  1. So I will always be a true romance girl - almost any sub-genre will do (though not a fan of erotica). However, I will read just about anything if it sounds like a good or intriguing story and is well-written. I truly enjoy books that have a little of a lot of different elements - romance, suspense, mystery, paranormal, etc. Any combination of these works for me to with the one caveat that I like happy endings, predictable or not. I just HATE getting to the end of the story and things not working out, especially if it's been a great book and I've grown attached to the characters! LOL Not sure it helps you - but that's what I like! ;)

  2. I'm a paranormal reader. I like YA and new adult paranormal/romance. Can't go wrong with either. I love YA and new adult books too. For some reason, I have an easier time identifying with the characters.

  3. Contemporary romance, chick lit (must have HEA) and historical romance.
