My name is Ella Jade and I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. The plots and dialog have always been in my head but I never knew what to do with them. That all changed when I discovered the eBooks industry. I write contemporary erotic romances with a BDSM flair. I love creating sexy domineering men and the strong women who know how to challenge them in and out of the bedroom.
Tell us about your book....
Surrender to Me is the sequel to Make Me Stay. The main character, Martin, was featured in one chapter of Make Me Stay but when I finished that book I knew I needed to tell his story.This is part of a 4 book series but all the books stand alone and can be read in any order.
What made you choose erotic/romance for your books?
When I read, I don’t like to be left in the dark. I enjoy reading open door sex scenes so it seemed natural for me to to write erotic romances.
What was your schedule like when you were writing?
I try to write when my kids are in school but sometimes the plots take over and I find I’m at my computer all hours of the day and night.
Do you have a special snack?
I like to have a Starbucks iced tea when I’m writing.
What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?
I keep the laptop open at the kitchen table so I can write a paragraph or even a sentence when something hits me.
If you could disappear to anywhere in the world for a writing escape, where would you go?
Some place quiet. A view of the ocean might be nice.I’m not picky. As long as I have my laptop I can make anyplace work.
What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I like to kickbox and scrapbook. I love spending time with my kids. We have a big list of movies to get through this summer. So many cool ones coming out.
What does your family think of your writing?
At this point they’ve just accepted it. Some of my relatives read my books and others say they are too dirty for them. LOL Most of them are proud of me.
What was one of the most surprising things you learned about yourself in creating your books?
That I could actually write a full book from beginning to end. I had so many ideas in my head but to actually sit down and complete one was amazing to me.
As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
A writer. Seriously. :LOL
Which of your characters would be your book boyfriend?
Well, I absolutely love Martin but Brody Callahan from Something More is swoon-worthy. He is my all time favorite. I always say every woman should have a Brody Callahan. He’s smart, rich, sexy and loyal.
Do you have a dream cast for your book?
Its funny but I don’t associate my characters with actors. I know that’s crazy because so many people do. I see them in my head as the people I create. Of course, if Hollywood knocked on the door for the movie rights I’m sure I could get on board real quick. LOL I do love when readers contact me and tell me who they see in the roles.
