After putting her life on the line to protect classified intelligence, military psychologist Mia Kensington is on a cross-country road trip from hell with an intrusive save-the-day hero. Uninterested in his white knight act, she’d rather take her chances without the ruggedly handsome, cold-blooded operative who boasts an alpha complex and too many guns.
Colby Winters, an elite member of The Titan Group, has a single objective on his black ops mission: recover a document important to national security. It was supposed to be an easy in-and-out operation. But now, by any means necessary becomes a survival mantra when he faces off with a stunning woman he can’t leave behind.
When Titan’s safe houses are compromised, Colby stashes Mia at his home, exposing his secret—he’s the adoptive father of an orphaned baby girl. Too soon, danger arrives and Mia lands in the hands of a sadistic cartel king with a taste for torture. As hours bleed into fear-drenched days, Colby races across the globe and through a firestorm of bullets to save the woman he can’t live without.
My Review?
There's something sexy about a rough, tough, gun toting man. That's part of the allure of "military like" or "action packed" romances. Men who have these killer skills in and out of bed. I wasn't hooked on Mia though. I just felt she was .. off. I hated the psycho analyzing of everything. But, she was pretty strong. Considering all that happens, she wasn't a simpering whiny baby and I liked that. This was a fun book to read, and the action keeps you hooked. Well written and sexy, I think that this is going to be a series I'll be watching.
So, I've also read :
Let's just say Cash is as hot, if not hotter than Winters!!!
A SPY RUNNING FOR HER LIFE
Nicola is an injured CIA agent on the run from a failed undercover operation. Her escape plan shatters when she slams into the man who buried her a decade ago. Cash Garrison. Her first and only love. Now, sexier than her best memory and cradling a sniper’s rifle, he has questions she can’t answer. Why was she alive? And armed? AND THE MAN SHE COULD NEVER SEE AGAIN
Cash is an elite member of a black ops organization, The Titan Group. He thought Nicola died his senior year of college and swore off love to focus on a decade of military missions. But when she shows up behind enemy lines, bleeding out and wielding a weapon, his heart and mind are unsure how to proceed.
BATTLE BETRAYAL TO SAVE THEMSELVES
Titan and the CIA join forces to uncover a mole hidden in a network of international terrorists and homegrown mobsters, teaming Cash and Nicola again. They fight old wounds and re-ignite sparks while closing in on a double agent. When disaster strikes, Nicola’s hidden past makes her the hunted target and Cash’s best kill shot may not be enough to save them.

Meet Cristin!
Cristin Harber is an award-winning romantic suspense and military romance author. She lives outside Washington, DC with her husband, toddler, and English bulldog. She loves southern food, sings too loud along with the radio, and could spend hours reading and writing. She’d love to save the world but can’t, so instead, she writes about those who do. There’s a special place in her heart for those men and women, as well as those who go out of their way to protect and rescue animals.

Cristin, thanks for being here with us, can you take a moment and introduce yourself and your books please?
Hi! Thanks for the opportunity to share about my Titan series.
I’m a stay-at-home mom. I live outside Washington, DC with my husband, our little girl, and English Bulldog. We have a baby due at the end of October!
I write romantic suspense with higher stakes and hotter action. My debut series has three novels (Winters Heat, Garrison’s Creed, and Westin’s Chase) and two novellas (Gambled and Chased). They’re a fun, fast read! Super alphas and strong heroines.
How did you get started in writing?
I’ve always had an overactive imagination. Writing and reading after a long day at work helped me to decompress. A few years ago, I traveled extensively for work and would write/read constantly. Then I picked up my first romance novel. I was floored. It was everything I thought the book I’d been reading lacked. They transformed how I wrote. I realized that I could focus on emotional growth and relationships. It was an awesome, incredibly liberating change in how I write.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
What didn’t I want to be? Teacher, equine veterinarian, president (LOL, yup, of the United States). In high school, I was encouraged by a few teachers who told me my writing had promise. Being an author was always a dream. I’m a HUGE fan of authors. They’re my rock stars.
I’m a big fan of the Titan books already. I’ve read Winters and Cash’s stories. I’m looking forward to more! Where did you come up with the ideas for the series?
Squee! Thanks! That’s great to hear.
After my daughter was born, I was recovering from a c-section, nursing in the middle of the night and watching a lot of Die Hard & Bourne Ultimatum type movies (I love ‘em), while reading my favorite authors over and over again. I think the two worlds collided and I ended up with my Titan boys.
Lol, those are two of my fave movies!
How much of you is in Mia and Nicola’s characters?
I’d like to hope I’d react like Mia if I was kidnapped and stuck in a hut in Colombia. I’d want to fight like hell and keep my head on my shoulders. And, true to Mia, I have drowned ex-boyfriend related sorrows in a pint of Ben & Jerry’s while watching movies.
Nicola lets loose with her girlfriends, and I think those scenes were easy to write because I just imagined what it would be like to have a few cocktails with my friends. Also, I have a bit of a mouth on me, so when Nic banters with Jared, I think that has my personality infused.
I think all women would love to be as tough as these two ladies!
Besides hot, buff and tough, what other main characteristics do you insist your Titan boys have?
A moral code. Even if I don’t understand it at first, their personal definition of right and wrong makes sense by the time the character fully develops. Also, they have to believe in happily ever after as much as I do. When the boys love, they love like crazy.
When you’re not writing, how do you spend your time?
Being a stay at home mom keeps pretty busy. I generally write during naptimes and after my family is asleep. But when I have non-writing free time, I’ll try to catch up on my TBR pile. Not super exciting, but I love it.
What does your family think of your writing?
They’re very proud of me. My husband is incredible. He smiles and nods when I reference my fictional boyfriends like they’re real people. He even gave me my book covers framed for our wedding anniversary gift. Every time I win an award or meet a goal, he’s throwing me high fives and sharing with the world.
The same with my parents, sister, and in-laws. I couldn’t ask for a better sister. She’s my best friend and helps me whenever I’m stuck. My mom reads more than anyone I’ve ever met, and she has the same admiration for authors that I do. My dad loves to help arm my characters. When I have a question, he breaks out whatever he needs to show me how things work. Great example, when I decided to make Cash a sniper, he pulled out several types of scopes and walked me through each one. My in laws couldn’t be more supportive.
If you could go anywhere in the world to be alone and write for a week… where would that be?
I wouldn’t go too far from home. About three hours from home is the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s quiet and secluded. My family has a mountain getaway there, and it’s my comfort zone. But truthfully, I’d miss everyone if I was gone for a week.
Who wouldn't want to go there!!! It's beautiful and serene!
Cristin, thanks for being here! It's great to get to know the mind behind these amazing books!
