The Wyckham House has stood for centuries, its origin unknown, its history black and bloody. Aaron Schaefer came away from his experience with “the devil’s mansion” with amnesia and an aversion to specific people…and to the full moon.
When Kimberly Owens’ father disappears in Aaron’s town, she gives no heed to the potential danger. Reckless and rash, armed only with a borrowed identity, a false sense of indestructibility, and a precognitive dream that leads her to Aaron, she breezes into town – only to find herself entangled in the sticky web of a black magic priest whose obsession with her grows with every passing day.
As Kim becomes inexplicably ill and all evidence indicates her father left town of his own accord, she delves into Aaron’s mysterious past, searching for clues to lead her to her father. All evidence points to the Wyckham House.
Only one man has gone there and returned alive. But even if Aaron could remember what happened to him, he doesn’t want to.
Because there are worse things than death.

Review from Amazon Vine Voice
From the very first chapter there's a real old school feeling about this novel. Think of the great horror writers of latter part of the last century (Masterton, Saul, Herbert) and Jones' style would feel at home. From the first few pages there a great sense of wrongness, which later allows Jones to grow the menace so sought after by the better writers in the genre.
There's an odd shift of perspective that somewhat breaks the fourth wall and this may upset the suspension of disbelief for some readers. It's a unique plot mechanic though and although it wasn't entirely necessary it didn't disrupt the actual story.
After the initial and shocking chapter, the story settles down and slowly unfolds as secrets spill. There is potential to create a larger story, yet Jones keeps it tightly focused and grounded because of it. It also keeps its cards very close to its chest in regards to exactly which genre it falls in to, so read with an open mind and enjoy the misdirection.
A great read which thrills, captivates and shocks in equal measure.
When an author is asked to help the police with the investigation into a double murder by identifying occult symbols, which had been carved into the victims, he is plunged into nightmare and forced to go on the run. Hunted by law and a powerful cult, he has to stay one step ahead to survive.
Jones stamps his mark firmly as a horror writer with this novel, His thrillers are gritty enough but this one is a gripping and graphic tale made all the more disturbing because it is based on the truth; Guardian

Welcome to The Graveyard Shift, a collection of novelettes that will take you on a midnight ride-along through the darkest alleys of the human mind. These tales plumb the macabre depths of both life and death and leave the reader to decide which fate is more terrifying.
In Bedridden Honeymoon, a newlywed English professor falls into paranoiac delusion as he is stalked by his new bride’s deranged ex-husband on their honeymoon.
In An Axe Through Bone, a groundskeeper finds a garage room that allows him to be transported into the medieval world of his imagination, where his adventures provide escape from the reality of his wife’s recent (and abrupt) death.
In These Walls, a tale of woe is told from the perspective of Eastlake Manor, the living embodiment of a home that finds itself forced to haunt away its terrible new tenants after its old masters pass away.
In Life and Limb, a mannequin sculptor with a wretched secret is plagued by guilt to the point of hallucination, or so he thinks.
In The Curious Debt of William T. Bellows, William learns that no gentlemen’s accord comes free of unexpected fine print, especially one concocted by a demon and sealed in blood.
These five, grim novelettes are separated by four equally haunting short stories, all guaranteed to test the limits of the reader's imagination and explore the furthest stretches of life, death, and the morality that lies somewhere in between.

When Ray Simon receives a desperate call from his childhood friend Kevin, begging him to come visit, Ray can’t say no. Kevin promises to clue him in on shocking discoveries he has made about weird, half-forgotten events in their past—events associated with a summer camp near Kevin’s home in the small town of Blackwater, West Virginia.
But when Ray arrives, Kevin is nowhere to be found. So Ray does some investigating of his own, only to find that no records exist of the camp. Yet he is not alone in looking for information. There are Lily, a beautiful redhead with uncanny seductive powers; Crawford, a wealthy collector of art and people; and Micah, the mysterious leader of the Church of the Open Door. All of them are seeking information about the rumored camp. And they are all interested—very interested—in Ray.
Then a midnight encounter with strange floating lights sparks a return of old memories—vivid but fractured images that haunt Ray’s waking hours with intimations of terror and cruelty. Something dreadful happened at that camp long ago. Something was awakened there. Now, with the help of his new friend Ellen, a waitress at the local diner, Ray must navigate a path through madness and murder—a path that leads inexorably to an all-but-forgotten night in his childhood . . . and to a future of unimaginable horror.

Left for dead and back by (some) popular demand, the rounds in Kenneth's revolver are terribly empty as he puts the muzzle to his head. He stares at the zombies coming straight for him on the roof as the helicopter carrying the man who crippled him sails off into the horizon. This is it. Not an easy death by suicide but one borne of suffering as the zombies are about to rip his guts out. But Kenneth isn't one to give up on killing himself so easily. He rolls himself over the edge, expecting his brains to turn into a Jackson Pollock painting on the concrete parking lot down below. But as he lands with a bounce, he's saved by a suicide net fixed on the second floor… and given a new lease of life.
He's on a mission to find Jenny, the one and only person who's cared about him throughout the medical school that he dropped out of. And when he encounters a ragtag bunch of survivors, each complete with their own pasts and grudges, can he unite them towards the common goal of survival?
Faced with betrayal, hopelessness, helplessness, complications, violence, blood and gore, Kenneth must fight the best he can with what limited means he has. For the sake of Jenny, for the sake of himself, he must fight and survive in this undead world, even if there is no escape.

HOW FAR MUST AN ANGEL FALL TO FIND HIS DESTINY?
Having witnessed one too many senseless deaths, Nikolai, a disillusioned Reaper 3rd Class, resigns his commission with the Angel Forces after a tedious century of gathering souls.
Immediately, another division recruits him with the promise of a more rewarding career, and issues his initial assignments: To bring down a few very dangerous threats to the human race. In the process, Nikolai falls in love with one of his targets--Hope Matheson, a woman who will lead thousands astray.
Caught between conflicting agendas, Nikolai chooses to "fall" from his celestial state and become mortal in order to circumvent angel law and be with her. But for angels and humans alike, things are not always as they appear. Still a target, the threat against Hope's life intensifies.
Now, in order to save her, Nikolai must rally the last remnants of his failing supernatural abilities to prevent her assassination, as well as the destruction of an entire city by a nuclear terrorist strike.
But his time and power are running out...
Terminus is a perspective-altering saga that delves into ageless themes of redemption, destiny, and the eternal power of love.

The stunning conclusion to The Sanheim Chronicles trilogy...
A Soul to Steal revealed an ancient Celtic myth in which a man and woman could gain tremendous power around Halloween, provided they faced and conquered their fears. Quinn O'Brion and Kate Tassel, two small-town journalists, became the Prince of Sanheim and used that power to defeat a serial killer.
In Band of Demons, Quinn and Kate battled a new threat, two legendary creatures who had already destroyed everyone in their path. But Kate and Quinn's victory came at a heavy price.
In Give the Devil His Due, Kate's only hope to save Quinn is to trust the man who took him from her. Don't miss the epic finale to the trilogy that has readers raving about its great characters, plot twists and deft combination of urban fantasy, mystery and suspense.

“The end was near.” —Voices from the Zombie War
The Zombie War came unthinkably close to eradicating humanity. Max Brooks, driven by the urgency of preserving the acid-etched first-hand experiences of the survivors from those apocalyptic years, traveled across the United States of America and throughout the world, from decimated cities that once teemed with upwards of thirty million souls to the most remote and inhospitable areas of the planet. He recorded the testimony of men, women, and sometimes children who came face-to-face with the living, or at least the undead, hell of that dreadful time. World War Z is the result. Never before have we had access to a document that so powerfully conveys the depth of fear and horror, and also the ineradicable spirit of resistance, that gripped human society through the plague years.
Ranging from the now infamous village of New Dachang in the United Federation of China, where the epidemiological trail began with the twelve-year-old Patient Zero, to the unnamed northern forests where untold numbers sought a terrible and temporary refuge in the cold, to the United States of Southern Africa, where the Redeker Plan provided hope for humanity at an unspeakable price, to the west-of-the-Rockies redoubt where the North American tide finally started to turn, this invaluable chronicle reflects the full scope and duration of the Zombie War.
Most of all, the book captures with haunting immediacy the human dimension of this epochal event. Facing the often raw and vivid nature of these personal accounts requires a degree of courage on the part of the reader, but the effort is invaluable because, as Mr. Brooks says in his introduction, “By excluding the human factor, aren’t we risking the kind of personal detachment from history that may, heaven forbid, lead us one day to repeat it? And in the end, isn’t the human factor the only true difference between us and the enemy we now refer to as ‘the living dead’?”

On October 15 at 2:15 a.m. everyone on Earth vanished.
Well, almost everyone.
A scattered few woke alone in a world where there are no rules other than survival... at any cost.
A journalist wanders the wretched reality of an empty New York, in search for his wife and son.
A serial killer must hunt in a land where prey is now an endangered species.
A mother shields her young daughter from danger, as every breath fills her with terror.
A bullied teen is thrilled to find everyone gone. Until the knock on his door.
A fugitive survives a fiery plane crash. Will he be redeemed, or return to what he's best at: the kill?
An eight year old boy sets out on a journey to find his missing family. What he finds will change him forever.
And there's a few people who aren't surprised that this happened at all. In fact, they've been dreaming about this day for years.
These survivors aren't truly alone...
Someone or something is watching them.
And waiting...
Strangers unite.
Sides are chosen.
Will humanity survive what it never saw coming?

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when -- or if -- it will go away.
Dale Barbara, Iraq vet and now a short-order cook, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens -- town newspaper owner Julia Shumway, a physician's assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing -- even murder -- to hold the reins of power, and his son, who is keeping a horrible secret in a dark pantry. But their main adversary is the Dome itself. Because time isn't just short. It's running out.
