I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would! It was fun, entertaining, spooky. The characters were well rounded. The story didn't drag. I liked the flashback scenes, they gave me more of an idea as to who the characters were. There were a few editing errors sprinkled throughout the book, but nothing major or drastic. The story is bound to make you 2nd guess every time your hair stands on end. I truly look forward to the next story (please tell me that there's another story?!)
There were some silly one liners that have you laughing one minute, then getting spooked the next. "Payback he thinks, comes in the form of an adorable little girl that farts like she has a sewage treatment plant in her butt." I died when I read that (and not just because it made me think of my husbands gas) but because it really added a hint of personality to the story. This is a great read for any age. I look forward to more from this author. |
Tracie Jules is an author, screenwriter and actress. She grew up in upstate New York and attended the CIA in Hyde Park. She went on to bake for chef's, various restaurants and she taught pastry classes at two local community colleges. During this time she discovered acting and quickly began landing roles on TV, film and commercials. She resides in New Jersey with her husband Gerald, their five children and three grandchildren. She is also the creator and director of two web series, one of which, The Haunting of Hunter, was based upon.
