I felt a little left out, reading this. I haven't read any of the other books in this series. There's certainly things I was missing having not read them. But, this was still a good read. It can be a stand alone, but more would have been understood or explained if I had read the others. An Apocalyptic Need is a good space story. It's hot, sexy and has you hooked through the whole thing. Figuring out who was on who's side and where this story was going had me turning page after page. I enjoyed Grimm. He was sexy and I certainly wouldn't mind him being my sex vassal! Cari was a strong character. I like seeing women in leadership positions. The sex tension builds throughout the whole story until you feel like you're going to burst. This book will gladly satisfy any Science Fiction lover as well as romance readers! It's a great combination of the both! I will have to go pick up the other 2 books in this series!
