Cameron Burk has just broken up with his long-time girlfriend. But, determined not to miss out on the biggest event of the year, he flies solo to the senior prom. This is a sweet romance. A female rockstar, a man who loves her.
It was an interesting read. My problem with it, Cameron should have been the female character. He wasn't an enticing hero. He was overly emotional. Though it was ok to read about not wanting to have sex, and waiting, I feel too much of the story was focused on Cameron (the guy) not being ready. Rhys was a pretty cool chick. I liked her.
The other issue was the time line. The way it moves forward sometimes had me wondering how much time really had passed, how long they had been together and so on. I think some more focus on keeping the time line straight and toughening up Cameron could have made this a much better read for me. I think it's a great romance for a younger reading base. I'm happy to read sexy stories and clean reads, but this one had me so confused as to whether it was clean or sexy, I just couldn't fully enjoy it.
