So grab your favorite blanket, and a hot cup of coffee and settle in for the ride.

When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

I think I have always known, but never had enough faith in myself to follow through until a few years ago. I spent my adolescent years building a fictitious world around me because I didn’t have the most stable of homes. The stories were my escape. A few years ago, a friend encouraged me to just sit and write, so I did. I didn’t stop until I told my first book The Long Road Home.

How long did it take you to write your books?

It took me about six weeks to write Destined. I think it was during the summer and I was bored with everything on tv. I wanted something new, so I created it.
Sweet Serendipity took me about three months to write. It’s a very emotional book to me. I have a lot of my own personal life in it. It’s still very emotional for me to read.

What genre is your book? What made you choose to write in that category?

Sweet Serendipity is a Contemporary Romance. I am a sucker for a love story. I get swept up in it. I think a part of me takes bits and pieces of my life and experiences and wraps them into each book.
Destined is a YA Paranormal Fantasy about Angels and Demons. I have always been fascinated with angels and of course where there is good there has to be bad. So, Destined takes you on a whole new journey and give a whole new spin on Angels and Demons and the creation of life.

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

From my own personal experiences and desires. I get to travel the world without leaving my house. I get to visit places I could only dream of going to.

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?

I have three published books and many WIP. I can’t possibly state which one is my favorite. The Long Road Home is my baby. Sweet Serendipity has my heart and soul, and Destined is my favorite fantasy.

Are you currently working on another book? If so, is it part of a series or something different?

I have a few right now. Chance Encounters is a Contemporary Romance. Hopefully releasing this fall. I have Hidden Secrets which is a Romantic Suspense. I also have part two in the Destined Series which is yet to be named. I am going to run a contest for the best title on that one. I am turning my short story Addicted into a full length novel. I have had numerous messages telling me that they need more. LOL! I was just trying to show that I have a dark side too, and it worked.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?

I love the beach. I live in a beach town so I spend a lot of time just walking along the shore. It helps get the creative juices flowing. I love to hike through the cranberry bogs with my kids. We go for miles and miles and get ourselves lost on fun adventures.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned about yourself in creating your books?

That I actually followed through and made my dreams come true. It’s one thing to think about doing it, but to actually sit and write a story.....and then to be able to see it in print, is the most amazing feeling in the world. If I never did anything else again....I will know that I did it.

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

Oh boy!!!!! Let’s see...... Always a writer.....but also  detective, an interior decorator, an explorer or treasure hunter, a clothing designer. HA!!!! pretty cool things.

Destined (Destined, #1)Destined by Jenna Pizzi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The aspect of this book is unlike your average paranormal book. It's the balance between good and evil and the one person who can help keep it. Lilly has a huge destiny ahead of her. The story captures you from the beginning and holds your interest. Angels, Demons, Fate, much much more. It was a great read.

  1. That we cannot live without both good & evil. They tend to balance each other out! Without evil how can we appreciate the good!? Without good how can we see evil?! There has to be both. Looking forward to a new read by a new author.

  2. People have both good and evil in them. Story's show both sides of human nature and how the good side can usually always overcome the evil but every so often it doesn't work that way.

  3. That the bad makes you see and appreciate the good :)

  4. That they both have to be there or there is no balance in the world.
